Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of tapas dishes with attention to detail, presentation, and flavor balance
- Ensure all food safety standards and sanitation procedures are strictly followed during meal preparation
- Assist in menu development by introducing new tapas ideas that excite customers and reflect current culinary trends
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, assist with stock rotation, and communicate supply needs
- Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining high quality standards and providing excellent customer service when interacting with guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety protocols, sanitation practices, and food handling regulations
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, including chopping, seasoning, plating, and garnishing dishes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure seamless service delivery
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving techniques, and customer service principles
- Passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn new techniques and expand your repertoire
