About the Role
At Lake Chapala Mobility and Professional Services, we support clients with relocation, property sourcing, mobility and professional services designed to make complex moves and property decisions more straightforward.
We are looking for an experienced Property Acquisition Specialist to join our Oxford team. You will be responsible for identifying suitable residential and investment properties, assessing opportunities, coordinating due diligence and supporting negotiations from initial search through to acquisition.
This role is well suited to someone who understands the Oxford and wider Oxfordshire property market, can build strong relationships with agents and property professionals, and is confident analysing both the commercial and practical factors behind a property decision.
Why Work With Us?
Varied property portfolio: You will work across different property requirements, from relocation-related residential searches to investment and strategic acquisition projects.
Meaningful client impact: Your work will directly influence major decisions for individuals, families and organisations relocating to or investing in the area.
Professional autonomy: We value specialists who can manage their own acquisition pipeline, make informed recommendations and take ownership of the process.
Strong local exposure: Oxford offers a distinctive property market shaped by universities, research institutions, technology companies, life sciences and an internationally mobile workforce.
Career development: You will have opportunities to deepen your experience in property sourcing, negotiation, market analysis and relocation services.
Key Responsibilities
Property Sourcing: Identify suitable properties through estate agents, developers, professional networks, direct approaches and off-market opportunities.
Market Analysis: Research local pricing, comparable transactions, rental potential, demand and neighbourhood trends to support acquisition decisions.
Client Requirements: Translate client priorities, budgets, location preferences and property specifications into an effective search strategy.
Property Appraisal: Carry out initial commercial and practical assessments of potential acquisitions before recommending them to clients.
Due Diligence Coordination: Work with solicitors, surveyors, mortgage advisers and other specialists to ensure appropriate checks are completed.
Negotiation: Support or lead price and commercial negotiations with vendors, agents and other stakeholders.
Property Viewings: Arrange and attend viewings where required, providing clients with clear and objective feedback.
Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of active searches, opportunities, offers, negotiations and acquisition progress.
Stakeholder Management: Develop strong working relationships with estate agents, developers, landlords, legal advisers and relocation partners.
Transaction Support: Coordinate key stages of the acquisition process through exchange and completion, helping resolve issues that could delay a transaction.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Ideally 4–7 years of experience in property acquisition, residential property, estate agency, relocation, property investment or a closely related field.
Market Knowledge: Good understanding of the Oxford and Oxfordshire residential property market, including pricing, neighbourhood characteristics and local demand.
Commercial Judgement: Ability to evaluate property opportunities objectively and identify potential risks, costs and negotiating points.
Negotiation Skills: Confident negotiating with agents, vendors and professional advisers while protecting the client's commercial interests.
Client Management: Strong communication skills and the ability to understand different client priorities and expectations.
Organisation: Ability to manage several active property searches or transactions simultaneously without losing attention to detail.
Research: Comfortable using online property platforms, market reports, comparable sales information and other data sources to support recommendations.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in a buying agency, relocation company, estate agency or property consultancy.
- Knowledge of Oxford city and surrounding areas such as Headington, Summertown, Jericho, Botley and neighbouring Oxfordshire towns.
- Experience working with corporate relocation or international clients.
- Understanding of UK residential conveyancing and property transaction processes.
- Experience coordinating property surveys and legal due diligence.
- Knowledge of property investment analysis and rental-market fundamentals.
- Familiarity with CRM or property management systems.
- Experience building relationships with estate agents and developers.
- Strong written reporting and presentation skills.
- Full UK driving licence where travel to property viewings is required.
You do not need to meet every desirable requirement. If you have strong property-market experience, good commercial judgement and the ability to manage acquisition projects professionally, we would be interested in hearing from you.
What We Value
We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable taking ownership of property searches from beginning to end.
We particularly value professionals who can balance a client's preferences with objective market information, identify opportunities early and communicate clearly when a property may not represent good value.
You should also be comfortable working independently while maintaining close coordination with clients, agents and professional advisers throughout the transaction.
Application
If you have experience in property acquisition, estate agency, relocation or property investment and are looking for a new opportunity in Oxford, we encourage you to apply.
Please submit an up-to-date CV highlighting your property-market experience, the types of acquisitions or transactions you have handled and your knowledge of Oxfordshire or comparable UK property markets.
Pay: £5,300.00-£5,500.00 per month
