Independent Place Nursery
We are a small unique 49 place nursery tucked away in a quiet, private gated complex. Being a smaller setting means we really know our families and each other. We are proud to be Ofsted Outstanding, and we are looking for passionate qualified practitioners to join our longer serving team.
The Role
As a Key Worker, you’ll be fully supporting the learning and development of children from 3 months to 5 years. Because we are a 49-place nursery, you aren’t just a number—you are a vital part of our children's daily lives and an essential member of our award-winning group.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged from birth to five years.
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care routines.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Lead small groups of children during activities, fostering independence and confidence.
- Assist in the assessment and documentation of children's progress, contributing to their individual learning journeys.
- Support the management team with daily operational tasks as required, including record keeping and resource organisation.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities by mentoring junior staff members and contributing to team development initiatives.
- Drive company policies on safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion within the nursery setting.
Qualifications
- recognised qualification at Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Early Childhood Education.
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead activities and supervise junior staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive approach to team collaboration.
- Ability to work confidently with children of various ages and backgrounds.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or home visits as required.
- Knowledge of current childcare legislation, safeguarding procedures, and best practices in early childhood education. Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
