Purpose:
As a Junior Agile Delivery Manager, you support and increasingly own effective delivery within your squad(s), helping workflow from planning through to release in a controlled, transparent and outcome-focused way. You facilitate Agile practices, maintain delivery momentum, manage risks and dependencies, and improve ways of working using data, tooling and AI-enabled approaches. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Testing, Design and other colleagues, you help create clear delivery focus, strong team collaboration and a safe environment where issues are surfaced early and improvements are acted on.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate core Agile ceremonies independently and ensure they are focused, productive and drive clear outcomes
- Work with Product to maintain a clear, well-groomed and prioritised backlog, improving readiness and clarity ahead of delivery
- Support squad planning and delivery from sprint planning through to release, helping the team meet realistic commitments consistently
- Track progress, delivery health, risks, blockers and dependencies, escalating or coordinating resolution where needed
- Proactively resolve impediments, including those requiring cross-team coordination, while knowing when to seek support
- Use delivery metrics and insight to identify trends, reduce waste and rework, and improve flow, predictability and quality
- Own squad-level roadmap visibility and support quarterly planning preparation and follow-through
- Facilitate discussions that create clarity, alignment and decisions across the squad and relevant stakeholders
- Communicate delivery status, key dates, risks, dependencies, trade-offs and impacts clearly and proactively
- Support incident resolution and ensure learning from incidents and retrospectives is applied to improve future delivery
- Introduce and follow through on small experiments and improvements to ways of working, using a test-and-learn mindset
- Use tooling, automation and AI-enabled support to streamline delivery effectively while retaining accountability and control
- Promote accountability, ownership and continuous improvement within the squad
- Actively foster a safe, supportive and collaborative environment where people feel confident to speak up, challenge constructively and improve
- Contribute to the Agile Delivery Chapter through participation, knowledge sharing and consistent practice
- Operate confidently within governance, compliance and regulatory expectations, including Consumer Duty principles where relevant
- Act consistently in accordance with 7IM values, policies and compliance standards
- Complete other reasonable duties as required by your manager and 7IM
Knowledge:
- Understanding of Agile values, principles and common frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban
- Understanding of the delivery lifecycle from discovery and planning through to release and learning
- Knowledge of backlog management, sprint goals, Definition of Done, delivery metrics, risks, dependencies and impediments
Qualifications:
- Recognised Scrum Master or Agile delivery qualification desirable, or willingness to work towards one
- Experience working in an Agile, technology, change or delivery environment desirable
- Experience working with, or alongside, software engineering teams desirable
