Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service to enhance their experience.
- Take customer orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and handle cash or card transactions responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
- Restock supplies such as cups, lids, condiments, and ingredients to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the premises.
- Assist with opening or closing duties as required, including cash reconciliation and cleaning routines.
- Contribute positively to the team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a barista or in customer service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Organised with good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A genuine passion for coffee, beverages, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required.
