About Mini VIP’s
Mini VIP’s Nursery & Daycare is a family‑run, friendly and thriving setting in Winchcombe. We provide high‑quality childcare for children aged 3 months to 12 years, operating all year round from 7:30am–6:00pm, closed only on Bank Holidays and over the Christmas period.
We have recently expanded, with:
- A new standalone Pre-School with large play areas
- Our own Forest School
- A new Tweenies (1–2 years) room, alongside Babies & Toddlers rooms
- Our specialist Oaklands SEND provision
- A busy Wrap Around After School Care service
- A fun, activity-packed Holiday Club
We are now looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and confident Key Practitioner to join our growing team.
Your Role as a Key Practitioner
You will:
- Care for and supervise children’s physical, emotional and developmental needs
- Communicate closely with parents/carers to support children’s progress
- Contribute to planning and delivering fun, creative activities
- Keep accurate observations and development records
- Support positive behaviour strategies
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and safety at all times
- Assist in day‑to‑day organisation, cleanliness and care routines
- Support Wrap Around Care and Holiday Club when required
- Work flexibly, if required across Babies, Toddlers, Tweenies, Pre-School and SEND
- Attend training, staff meetings and occasional events
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification
- Good literacy and numeracy
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct
- Warm, caring, approachable and creative
- Reliable, organised, honest and self‑motivated
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Effective communication with children, families and colleagues
Desirable but not essential as training provided
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding Children Level 2 Certificate
- Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 Certificate
- Enhanced DBS Certificate, registered with the Update Service
- Understanding of Early Years curriculum frameworks
