Specialist Denture & Digital Laboratory

We are looking for an experienced, qualified and GDC-registered Dental Technician to join our growing specialist denture laboratory in Kilmarnock.
We provide a varied caseload of NHS and private removable prosthetics, and we are looking for a technician who takes genuine pride in their craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality of work. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking laboratory where traditional denture craftsmanship, clinical knowledge and digital technology come together. You will have the opportunity to work closely alongside a Clinical Dental Technician, allowing you to combine your technical knowledge with clinical understanding and develop your experience across conventional and digital denture workflows.
The Role You will be involved in a varied range of removable prosthetic work, including:
Full and partial acrylic dentures
Denture design and tooth arrangement
Wax-ups and try-ins
Processing, finishing and polishing
Denture repairs and additions
Relines and laboratory modifications
NHS and private denture work
Working closely with clinicians to achieve excellent clinical outcomes
Maintaining high standards of fit, function and aesthetics
Managing your workload effectively and meeting agreed turnaround times.
There may also be opportunities to work with implant-retained and implant-supported prosthetics, providing further scope to develop your technical knowledge and experience.
Digital Dentistry We are continuing to develop our digital denture and CAD/CAM workflows, making this an exciting opportunity for a technician interested in the future of removable prosthetics.
Experience with exocad and/or 3Shape is highly desirable. You will have the opportunity to develop your digital skills while combining CAD/CAM technology with your existing technical knowledge and traditional denture craftsmanship.
About You;
We are looking for someone who is:
Qualified as a Dental Technician
Currently registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)
Legally entitled to work in the UK
Experienced in removable prosthetics / denture technology
Technically skilled with excellent attention to detail
Knowledgeable in denture construction, occlusion, aesthetics and function
Reliable, organised and able to manage their own workload
Comfortable working independently and as part of a professional team
Interested in developing conventional and digital technical workflows.
Desirable Experience ;
Experience or knowledge of implant-retained and implant-supported prosthetics
Experience using exocad and/or 3Shape
Experience with digital denture design and CAD/CAM workflows
An interest in continuing to develop digital and implant-related technical skills These are desirable rather than essential.
We would also welcome applications from experienced conventional denture technicians who are keen to develop their digital and implant knowledge.
What We Offer - £25,500–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience, technical ability and digital/implant skills -
Full-time, permanent position
Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–4:30pm
