An opportunity has arisen to join a global engineering business, based North Aberdeenshire, in a key payroll leadership role. Working within a collaborative finance function, you'll take ownership of the payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while driving continuous improvements to systems, controls and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Supervising and supporting the payroll team, coordinating workloads and priorities
- Reviewing and improving payroll processes, systems and controls
- Working closely with HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll information
- Managing pension reporting and statutory payroll requirements
- Producing payroll reports and carrying out internal payroll audits
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing development of payroll systems
To be successful, you'll have:
- Previous experience within a payroll environment
- Experience supervising or leading a payroll team, or the ambition to step into a leadership role
- A strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and payroll systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
