We are looking for a Sous chef to join our team. You must have an upbeat, hard-working and flexible attitude. Mountains of personality and a passion for food.
For us, it's all about serving simple, high quality food cooked on our giant BBQ or rotisserie.
Duties
- Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food output
- Oversee food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper storage procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with serving staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and exceptional guest service
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and minimize waste through effective stock management
- Lead by example in culinary techniques, cooking methods, and presentation standards to the expectations of the company
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a professional kitchen or wedding/event setting
- Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
- Deep understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Exceptional leadership qualities combined with a passion for hospitality and service excellence
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
Salary from £40,000 depending on experience, no split shifts and pension scheme. Shift patterns will vary depending on the needs to the business including evening food cover. You will also be expected to deputise when the Head Chef is not in the kitchen.
