Overview
We are seeking a Fully Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser to join our professional healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Duties
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labelling, and distribution
- Provide guidance to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient profiles accordingly
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels
- Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations related to medication handling and storage
- Participate in medication administration processes when required, supporting clinical teams as needed
- Uphold confidentiality and maintain professional standards in all interactions with patients and staff
Experience
- Proven Pharmacy Dispenser experience within a community Pharmacy setting is essential
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols is highly desirable
- Experience in patient care environments, demonstrating strong communication skills and empathy
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (ability to use Proscript PMR will be an advantage) and record-keeping practices is advantageous
