Hundred Monkeys is a well-established independent café in central Glastonbury, a popular tourist destination.
We seek a leader to manage and motivate our Front-of-House team, ensuring outstanding customer service and full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
Your duties will be:
1. Team Leadership & Performance Management: Coach and coordinate café teams, manage daily rotas and task delegation, and foster collaboration to ensure seamless service. Uphold high professional standards.
2. Exceptional Customer Experience: Oversee floor operations, manage atmosphere and reservations, optimise service, and resolve complaints professionally to ensure a welcoming customer experience.
3. Financial Accountability & Reporting: Manage daily operations, execute opening and closing procedures, reconcile cash and POS data, maintain accurate records, and act as the primary liaison to the owners.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced barista.
- Serve as a role model, leading the Front-of-House team by example.
- Have experience leading a team in a similar food-and-beverage operation.
- Be confident in cash handling procedures.
- Be trained in food safety.
- Be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Be energetic, enthusiastic and flexible. Support the café's promotion locally and on social media.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Hospitality experience required
- Health & Safety and Food Safety knowledge
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
