You will need a minimum of GCSE Grade 4, or SCE Standard at Grade 2/ Scottish National 5 at C or Functional Skills (FS) Level 2 in English Language and Mathematics. Scottish Application of Mathematics (Grade A to C) is also accepted.
If you lack either GCSE English Language or Mathematics, but not both, you can still join the RAF but you must achieve FS Level 2 in the deficient subject, during Phase 1 training at RAF Halton before entry on to Phase 2. Failure to achieve the required academic standard may lead to you being discharged from the Service.
