Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including courier vehicles to transport packages efficiently across designated routes
- Plan delivery routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency while adhering to schedules
- Load and unload packages with care, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling in warehouse environments
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams and customers to confirm deliveries, provide updates, and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are maintained and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for all shipments processed
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure a secure driving environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar courier role, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with courier or commercial driving preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehouse work and package handling
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus, especially familiarity with logistics or inventory management systems
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
