Sheet Metal Fabricator / Precision Welder
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator / Precision Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role requires excellent small-part welding and fabrication skills across steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, with a strong focus on precision, quality, and efficiency.
Working as part of a small, dynamic, and highly skilled team, you will transform raw materials into finished components using a range of advanced fabrication processes, with many parts powder coated in-house to deliver a complete manufacturing solution.

You will work flexibly across our specialised production equipment, including:
- CNC Punching
- CNC Folding / Press Brake operation
- Precision Welding
- In-house Powder Coating
Producing high-quality components for both external customers and our sister companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality precision welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components
- Weld material thicknesses typically ranging from 0.7mm to 3mm
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD files to ensure accurate fabrication
- Safely and efficiently operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Maintain exceptional standards of quality, accuracy, and finish
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Apply mechanical knowledge to support continuous improvement of fabrication processes
- Assist with scheduled maintenance of tooling and machinery
- Work collaboratively within a multi-skilled manufacturing team to meet production deadlines
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding
- Strong experience working with sheet metal thicknesses from 0.7mm to 3mm
- Ability to produce fine, accurate, and visually high-quality welds
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good mathematical skills for measurement, calculation, and tolerancing
- Experience using tooling associated with metal fabrication processes
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong organisational skills with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
Desirable Additional Skills
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks
- Press brake / CNC folding operation
- Familiarity with CNC punching machinery
- Powder coating application and equipment operation
