MEP Projects is a small and growing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company. We operate in several different industrial sectors, such as, water treatment, energy from waste, chemical treatment, and manufacturing. Our projects typically involve the design, installation, testing and commissioning of process lead projects.
Due to increasing workload, we would like to supplement our team with a CAD Technician. Your day-to-day duties will vary as the projects move through the delivery lifecycle. Examples include:
· Posses good communication skills;
· Proficient in the use of Autodesk 2d CAD, and Autodesk REVIT;
· Ability to read and understand P&ID's and schematic wiring diagrams;
- Generating 2D and 3D models of projects using input from existing drawings, models, surveys, and inputs from the wider project team;
- Development of models and periodic reviews with the project;
- Generating drawings from the above models managing the issuing of these internally; and
- Internal QA and review.
It would be advantageous if you have working experience of industrial process engineering, manufacturing, and mechanical systems, e.g fluid control, pumping systems, hydraulics. Training can be provided for the right candidate who possesses the drafting skills, but does not have experience in Mechanical and Electrical design, e.g civil engineering
The ideal candidate will be qualified to BEng level; however, consideration will be given to candidates that possess relevant experience, and either ONC, HNC, HND or NVQ3.
You will be based in our Leeds City Centre office, although, where required, flexible and hybrid working may be accommodated to suit business and personal needs. When needed to, you will expected to be flexible to meet the project needs, this may mean UK travel and overnight stays, from time to time. A full UK driving license is required.
