Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs
- Promote and upsell products through effective communication and persuasive techniques
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays to enhance product visibility and appeal
- Provide detailed product information, answer customer queries, and offer personalised recommendations
- Handle transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, ensuring proper cash handling and receipt issuance
- Manage stock levels, organise inventory, and restock shelves as needed
- Keep the sales area clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
- Utilise phone etiquette skills when taking orders or providing customer support over the phone
- Assist in organising promotional events or activities during the summer period
Requirements
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a distinct advantage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers of diverse backgrounds
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
- Previous experience in merchandising or retail sales is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm for sales, and willingness to learn new skills
