Overview
L&J Fitters are seeking an experienced Kitchen Fitting Contractor to support upcoming installation projects within social housing properties in the Boston area. This is a self‑employed, project‑based engagement.
Scope of Work
The appointed contractor will be engaged to deliver kitchen installation services, including:
- Installing kitchen units, worktops, fixtures, and fittings in line with provided plans
- Ensuring all work meets relevant building standards and health & safety requirements, including asbestos awareness
- Coordinating with other independent trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical) where required to support project flow
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment throughout the project duration
Contractor Requirements
- Proven experience in kitchen fitting within residential or social housing environments
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently to agreed specifications
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt to site‑specific challenges
- CSCS card
- UKATA Asbestos Awareness
- FFP3 face mask or respirator with valid face‑fit certification
- M‑Class dust extraction
- Use of cordless or 110v PAT‑tested tools
- Bosch GMS 120 Professional Detector (or similar) for cable detection
- CIS registration
- Contractors remain responsible for their own insurance, equipment, and business operations
Pay: £200.00-£230.00 per day
