Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plastering techniques and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth finish, and contributing to the overall aesthetic quality of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are free from dust and debris.
- Mix plaster according to specifications, ensuring the correct consistency for application.
- Apply plaster using appropriate techniques to achieve a smooth and even finish on walls and ceilings.
- Mix & apply render both silicone & traditional sand cement types.
- Dry line with standard & insulated boards.
- Repair existing plasterwork as needed, including patching holes and cracks.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople such as carpenters and bricklayers to ensure seamless integration of work.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the execution of plastering tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in the installation of additional features such as mouldings or decorative elements as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks over extended periods.
