We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service.
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes and health & safety regulations.
- Support in training junior kitchen staff and new team members to uphold organisational standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, complying with food safety protocols.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with company standards and customer expectations.
- Contribute to menu development ideas alongside senior chefs, incorporating current culinary trends.
- Uphold excellent hospitality standards during service, including serving guests when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrable supervisory experience or team management skills within a culinary context.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of kitchen staff.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for culinary arts with ongoing commitment to professional development.
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality or culinary arts are desirable but not essential.
Pay: £25,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
