Responsibilities
- Deliver structured coaching sessions or classes in various sports or physical activities
- Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to different skill levels and age groups
- Provide guidance on proper techniques and safety procedures during activities
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages participation, confidence, and teamwork
- Monitor participants’ progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure all activities adhere to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other instructors and programme coordinators to enhance programme quality
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and programme outcomes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching roles
- Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to physical activity and injury prevention
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging sessions
- Excellent communication skills, capable of motivating diverse groups of learners
- Passion for community engagement and promoting healthy lifestyles
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant certifications in sports coaching or first aid are desirable but not essential
