About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Trainee Traffic Management Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch a rewarding career in the traffic management industry, with full training provided to help you gain industry-recognised qualifications. You’ll be working on highways and roadways, helping to set up and maintain temporary traffic management systems that keep road users and site workers safe.
Please note: Training costs will be deducted from your earnings over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, maintenance and removal of temporary traffic management schemes (e.g., cones, signs, traffic lights, road closures).
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate clearly with your team, supervisors, and the public.
- Load and unload equipment safely from vehicles.
- Keep vehicles and kit in good working condition.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Be flexible and available to work nights and weekends when required.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
- Flexible and reliable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Punctual, dependable, and safety-focused.
- Willing to complete training (costs covered upfront and repaid gradually through earnings).
Desirable (but not essential)
- CSCS card or similar site safety qualification.
