Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Semi Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with various building and maintenance tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects. This role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills across multiple trades, including carpentry, roofing, and masonry. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with carpentry, roofing, and masonry tasks as directed by senior team members
- Supporting construction painting and plumbing activities on-site
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assisting with fabrication work and material handling throughout the project site
- Preparing work areas, including cleaning and organising tools and materials
- Following health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a secure working environment
- Collaborating effectively with team members to meet project deadlines
Experience
- Basic knowledge of construction-related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for motivated individuals
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Familiarity with construction painting, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or fabrication will be considered a plus
- Previous experience in labouring roles within the construction sector is beneficial but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
