We are looking for a Site Waste Operative to join our busy Cannock site. Reporting to the Assistant Site Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring waste is processed, sorted and managed safely while supporting the smooth operation of our Transfer Station.

What you'll be doing
As a Site Waste Operative, your responsibilities will include:

Conducting daily pre-use inspections of plant and equipment and reporting any defects.

Sorting waste materials prior to baling and transfer.

Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing waste loads.

Processing wheelie bin contents into the correct storage containers.

Ensuring waste streams are correctly segregated, stored safely and managed compliantly.

Supporting site housekeeping standards and maintaining a clean working environment.

Monitoring site sumps and arranging pump-outs where required.

Helping maximise the value recovered from waste through approved site activities.

Following all company policies, procedures and environmental legislation.

Working in accordance with HSE, EA and other regulatory requirements.

Promoting and supporting a positive, proactive safety culture.

? Is comfortable working in an operational waste management environment
? Has forklift truck experience (desirable but not essential)
