We are seeking a motivated and reliable 3.5-ton Delivery Driver specializing in Tool Hire to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of tools and equipment to our customers, ensuring timely and safe transportation. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 3.5-ton delivery vehicle to transport tools, equipment, and materials to various locations.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines and optimize fuel consumption.
- Load and unload tools and equipment, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role, preferably with tool hire or warehouse experience.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with commercial driving and operating light commercial vehicles such as a 3.5-ton van or truck.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of loading/unloading tasks.
- Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of local roads, routes, and navigation tools for efficient deliveries.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential.
