Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Materials Controller to oversee the timely availability of packaging materials, raw materials and consumables required to support production. This role involves managing inventory levels, materials ordering, supplier deliveries, stock reporting and production scheduling activities to ensure customer requirements are met whilst maintaining efficient stock levels.
Working closely with Planning, Production and Logistics, the Materials Controller converts demand requirements into production schedules and maintains customer reporting.
Duties
Ø Generate and maintain weekly production schedules based on demand plans provided by Planning.
Ø Manage inventory levels of packaging materials, raw ingredients and consumables to ensure continuity of supply.
Ø Raise PO’s and co-ordinate deliveries with suppliers to ensure materials are available when required.
Ø Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular stock reconciliations and stock counts.
Ø Produce customer stock reports and month-end inventory reports in line with customer and business requirements.
Ø Management of stock levels and reporting of month end stocks both internally and to customers.
Ø Identify opportunities to improve stock control, reporting processes and material management practices.
Ø Support implementation of ERP stock management system.
Ø Provide accurate inventory reporting and analysis to support Finance, including month-end stock reconciliations, variance investigations, stock valuations, and audit requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain roles with a strong understanding of ERP systems.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Experience in similar position within fast paced environment
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
