Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our countryside based pub with great food and friendly locals.
Due to location a driving licence and car is essential. Varied shift patterns do not allow for public transport.
Hours per week tbd by situation. From 16 to 32 per week. Including evening and weekends.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in team management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The successful applicant will be responsible for motivating team members, organising tasks efficiently, and supporting organisational objectives to achieve operational excellence.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Organise daily schedules, delegate responsibilities, and monitor team performance
- Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff members
- Maintain effective communication within the team and with other departments
- Manage administrative tasks such as reporting, record keeping, and stock control
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards
- Support sales initiatives through coaching on customer engagement and phone etiquette
- Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional development
- Assist in managing organisational resources effectively to meet business goals
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience, preferably within Pub or Restaurant environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in Food and Drink preferred
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities .
- Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work under pressure
