Role Purpose
To support the department in delivering a high quality service to all customers. This role requires a high level of energy and communication to deliver high levels of service effectively and efficiently to our guests.
Main areas of responsibility
- Set up meeting and event rooms prior to the guest arrival in accordance with departmental specifications and guest requirements.
- To ensure that all meeting and event rooms are cleared as soon as possible after an event or meeting is finished, ensuring that all food and beverage is removed from all conference areas prior to the end of the conference shift and that all equipment and furniture is stored neatly and safely.
- To ensure all aspects of conferencing and standards of presentation and service are maintained.
- To liaise with the Conference & Events (C&E) team during the day regarding any changes and to ensure effective communication with other departments where appropriate.
- To be flexible regarding working hours to handle any unexpected requirements.
- To identify and report any maintenance requirements or potentially hazardous situations.
- To comply with all legal requirements in respect of health and safety and welfare of all members of staff and customers, including attending COSHH training and practising safe working habits.

- Perform other duties as required, which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of the Group as identified by the Senior Events Manager or Head of Hospitality Operations.
- Treat all colleagues as customers ensuring respectful positive outcomes across communications.
- Adhere to and abide by all BWFC policies, procedures, and guidelines especially remembering responsibilities to others under Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity.
