About the Role
Thaikelavi Business Technology Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technology projects for the business and its clients.
The successful candidate will manage projects from initial planning through implementation and completion. You will coordinate technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards.
This role is suitable for an experienced project-management professional who can translate business requirements into practical technology solutions, manage competing priorities, control project risks, and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technology and business systems projects from initiation through completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and success measures.
- Create detailed project plans and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
- Coordinate software developers, business analysts, technical specialists, vendors, and client representatives.
- Ensure project responsibilities, milestones, and deadlines are clearly communicated.
- Monitor project progress and take corrective action when delivery is at risk.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, procurement requirements, and supplier costs.
- Identify, assess, document, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Lead project meetings, workshops, planning sessions, and progress reviews.
- Provide clear status reports to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Gather and clarify business, operational, and technical requirements.
- Ensure proposed technology solutions meet business objectives and user needs.
- Manage project changes through appropriate review and approval procedures.
- Coordinate system implementation, data migration, testing, training, and deployment activities.
- Ensure user acceptance testing is completed and documented before launch.
- Oversee transitions from project delivery to operational support teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Resolve project escalations, delivery concerns, and stakeholder conflicts professionally.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual commitments.
- Ensure projects follow company policies, security requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Support the development of junior project managers and project coordinators.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned.
- Recommend improvements to project-management processes, tools, and reporting standards.
- Support business-development activities by contributing to project proposals, estimates, and implementation plans.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- At least five years of experience managing IT, software, digital transformation, systems implementation, or business technology projects.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, risk management, change control, and performance reporting.
- Experience managing projects throughout the complete delivery lifecycle.
- Ability to manage several projects or workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of business systems, software implementation, cloud services, or digital platforms.
- Experience working with technical teams, suppliers, clients, and senior decision-makers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using project-management and collaboration software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project or similar tools.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- A degree or equivalent qualification in information technology, computer science, business management, project management, or a related subject.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, Scrum Master, PMP, or another recognised project-management certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, enterprise software, CRM, ERP, or cloud migration projects.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project-delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing external technology suppliers and commercial contracts.
- Knowledge of information security, data protection, and technology governance.
- Previous experience within a technology consultancy or managed-services environment.
- Experience mentoring junior project managers or project-support employees.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
