We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide electrical and building services engineering maintenance across a designated region.
The role focuses on fault finding, repairs, maintenance, installation and delivering high standards of service performance to support customer requirements.
Job Description
We are looking for a professional individual with strong technical expertise in electrical building services maintenance, inspection and testing.
The successful candidate will support both reactive and planned preventative maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with health, safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM), proactive and reactive works within agreed timescales.
- Undertake electrical fault finding, repairs, maintenance, installation, inspection and testing activities.
- Provide callout support and response as required by customer arrangements.
- Monitor contractor performance and workmanship and support permit-to-work processes where required.
- Ensure electrical equipment operates to specified performance criteria and company standards.
- Deliver a professional service that promotes customer satisfaction and maintains service quality.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and work orders, ensuring all information is updated and completed on time.
- Comply with all relevant health, safety, risk assessment, COSHH and contractual requirements while identifying opportunities for service improvement.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Candidates should hold relevant electrical qualifications, including:
- City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and NVQ 2356 and AM2
- City & Guilds 236/2360 in Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2
- City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2018), preferably with A2 Amendment
- Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395) preferred
- JIB Accredited status preferred
- IPAF / PASMA preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience delivering electrical building services maintenance.
- Strong background in fault finding, maintenance, installation, inspection and testing.
- Experience in reactive and planned preventative maintenance environments.
- Experience working within FM or building services environments in commercial properties.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
- Ability to maintain high standards of customer service and technical delivery.
