Job Overview
We are looking for a Service / Mobile Engineer Coordinator to join our Maintenance team, who provide first-line maintenance support to our fleet and customers, customer satisfaction and communications skills will be vital in ensuring our first-class service is upheld.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ND Brown’s success and growth, coordinating our mobile HGV mechanics across the UK, scheduling their work, ensuring documents are provided to the customer in a timely manner, maximising the productivity of our team. You will also become a reference point for colleagues and customers alike in the instance of vehicle failure, service or MOT bookings, providing first-class service to our customers. This role will be suited to an individual with automotive maintenance and/or customer service who can deliver exceptional customer service, within a fast-paced ever changing environment, have good organisational skills and the drive to work hard within an incredibly varied role. Responsibilities and Duties
- Book, schedule and monitor the HGV mobile mechanics workload in the most effective and efficient way possible.
- Respond to daily changes in the HGV mobile mechanics workload in a positive and professional manner.
- Liaise with HGV mobile mechanics daily, ensuring they have all the customers’ needs in order for the work required.
- Organise the movement of parts, both collecting and/or delivering, for the HGV mobile mechanics and our customers, ensuring the best rates on these parts.
- Respond to email and phone enquiries in a positive and professional manner.
- Engage with the client base regarding all aspects of vehicle maintenance bookings.
- Ensuring all breakdown calls are administered with appropriate actions applied efficiently.
- Use of the appropriate party to attend breakdowns ensuring fix first time.
- Processing MOT’s for ND Brown vehicles and liaising with customers to ensure all Vehicles are MOT compliant.
- Arranging vehicle servicing in line with ND Brown / vehicle manufacturers serviceschedules.
- Booking LOLER or other related tests when required.
- Ensure all paperwork is checked and completed for all service, repair and maintenance activities.
- Process all commercial vehicle compliance documentation in R2C & Syrinx.
- Support the preparation and sending of client reports.
- Responsible for own health and safety and for the health and safety of your colleagues and your environment.
- Help and support as and when requested in the breakdown operations team.
- Any other task which may be a reasonable request during your day-to-day role.
Experience/Skills
- Competence in IT/Computer skills and database entry essential.
- Good communication is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail is essential.
- Effective organisation/planning skills are essential
- Good geographical knowledge is necessary.
- Experience in customer service background preferred.
- Commercial vehicle management and service industry experience preferred.
- Qualified mechanical background or knowledge of the HGV industry is desirable.
- Working knowledge of r2c & Syrinx desirable.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. (Full time)
