As Deputy Shop Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the successful operation of the Burslem store. You'll help drive sales, maintain high retail standards, manage stock, and support the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers.
You will take responsibility for the shop in the Manager's absence, ensuring the business continues to operate efficiently and safely while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily shop operations as guided by the Manager. And act as Duty Manager in the absence of the Manager.

Supervise, train and motivate staff and volunteers to maintain efficient operations.

Encourage Gift Aid at all times, ensuring donated stock is correctly labelled.

Assist with financial processes in line with procedures, using the Cybertill system.

Receive and process donations, including furniture, checking for Gift Aid eligibility and adhering to reselling, reuse, and recycling processes.

Help to ensure a seamless Furniture Collection and Delivery Service

Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere providing excellent customer service at all times.

Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and customer-focused Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of one of our Superstores. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail supervisory or management experience who is ready to take the next step in their career while making a real difference.
Working alongside the Shop Manager, you'll help lead a busy retail operation, inspire staff and volunteers, and ensure every customer and donor receives a welcoming and positive experience.

Salary: £31,069 FTE per annum
Hours: 42.5 hours a week
