Aramark UK are on the lookout for a talented Sous Chef to join our buzzing team at Northwood HQ — a site with three busy kitchens and a whole lot of variety. At Northwood, you’ll help lead a high‑performing kitchen where pace, teamwork, and creativity come together. You’ll take charge of daily operations when the Head Chef is off‑site, producing up to 300 meals at a time and keeping service running smoothly. Organisation, calmness under pressure, and a passion for great food are key.

A rare schedule in hospitality: 40 hours per week, 5 days a week, with Sous Chef hours typically Monday–Friday, shifts between 0600-2030, overseeing lunch & Dinner service — giving you your later evenings back. One weekend per month required.

A Day in the Life
As our Sous Chef, you’ll:

Lead kitchen shifts in the Head Chef’s absence, producing up to 1000 meals during peak times

Motivate, organise, and support the wider team to deliver smooth, efficient service

Prepare dishes to spec with full understanding of menu and allergen requirements

Manage production levels, minimise waste, place orders, and maintain accurate stock records

Receive and store deliveries using FIFO standards

Champion high cleaning and hygiene standards through regular deep cleans

Ensure staff are trained, confident, and set up to shine in their roles
You’ll thrive here if you have:

A relevant culinary qualification

Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP ready for the next step

Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure

The required residency, right to work, and ability to pass security vetting
