Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Cafe Barista to join our vibrant team at Bambi's Cafe in the heart of the Fringe in George Square. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality coffees and other drinks. The position is suitable for outgoing individuals passionate about coffee who enjoy working outdoors and do not mind working in a small kiosk.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and alcoholic speciality drinks
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and equipment following food safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality or safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista is a must. Being able to do latte art is preferable but not essential
- Knowledge of alcohol regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Ability to serve customers courteously whilst maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to work hard in a small period of time as this role is only for the Fringe Festival
Pay: £13.00 per hour
