A leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation, façade refurbishment and large-scale residential regeneration projects is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its growing operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor delivering complex, high-value schemes across London and the South East. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of designated project areas, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners while working closely with commercial, design, quality and health & safety departments to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee designated areas of work from inception through to completion.
- Deliver projects in line with programme, budget, quality, and health & safety requirements.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, supervisors, foremen and subcontractors.
- Produce, monitor and update short-term programmes and site delivery schedules.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, RAMS and company procedures.
- Monitor site progress and provide regular reports to senior project stakeholders.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to maximise productivity and efficiency.
- Work closely with commercial teams to manage costs, orders, labour allocation and subcontractor performance.
- Maintain accurate project records, site documentation, quality inspections and compliance reports.
- Support the implementation and management of Health & Safety plans, risk assessments and method statements.
- Drive quality assurance and quality control processes across the project.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, residents, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Chair and attend site progress and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Proactively resolve site issues to maintain programme milestones.
- Monitor workforce performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with current construction legislation, regulations and industry best practice.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a Site Manager role within the construction sector.
- Proven experience delivering façade, cladding remediation or EWI (External Wall Insulation) projects.
- ONC, HNC, or equivalent construction-related qualification, or relevant industry experience.
- Valid SMSTS certification.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Asbestos Awareness certification.
- Scaffold Awareness and/or PASMA qualification desirable.
- Fire Awareness and Manual Handling training.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and quality management procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
