Experienced Dessert Shop Assistant / Team Member – Boutique Desserts

Hours: Evening and weekend shifts (rota-based)
Pay: £8 - £12.71 per hour (depending on age and experience, in line with UK National Minimum Wage regulations)
Hours per week: 18–30

About Boutique Desserts
Boutique Desserts is an independent dessert shop specialising in waffles, crêpes, milkshakes, sundaes and other freshly prepared desserts.
Following a refurbishment, we are looking for reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic team members to join our team as we prepare to reopen.
The Role
As a Dessert Shop Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food preparation.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and presenting desserts to a high standard
- Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Taking customer orders accurately in-store and online
- Operating the till and handling payments
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout your shift
- Cleaning equipment, workstations and customer areas
- Restocking ingredients and supplies
- Assisting with opening and closing duties
- Working efficiently during busy periods
Who We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a dessert shop, café, restaurant, takeaway or hospitality environment is preferred
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work evenings and weekends
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work well as part of a team
Training will be provided, however applicants with previous hospitality or food service experience will be given preference.
