We are looking for a passionate, caring, and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our friendly team at our Middleham setting. In this rewarding role, you will nurture, inspire, and educate young children in a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. You will play a vital role in supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through engaging, play-based learning experiences.
This position can be offered on a term-time-only basis if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing information with parents and carers where appropriate.
- Manage behaviour positively to maintain a safe, happy, and stimulating learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide the highest standards of care and education.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised setting, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, and independence through high-quality play-based learning.
Essential Requirements
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years, Childcare, or a related subject.
- Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or other early years setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also using your own initiative.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- A commitment to providing high-quality childcare and education.
