Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner/Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of building tasks, including carpentry, fabrication, and assembly, to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures using a range of hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate bespoke components in accordance with project specifications.
- Assemble frameworks, fixtures, and fittings with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform carpentry tasks including roofing, joinery, and general woodwork.
- Carry out masonry work such as bricklaying or blockwork where required.
- Assist with plumbing and electrical installations as needed on-site.
- Conduct construction painting and finishing tasks to meet quality standards.
- Handle heavy lifting safely to move materials or components around the site.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as masons, electricians, and plumbers to ensure project coherence.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers alongside power tools like drills and sanders.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques including joinery and masonry principles.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the working day.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.
- Awareness of health and safety standards relevant to construction sites.
