Female Support Worker, St Austell
One to one female Personal Assistant (Support worker) needed for 40 year old woman with ADHD, Autism, LD, etc, living in own home with 24/7 support. Help with all daily living skills, activities, etc. No personal care required. Full driving licence and use of car is essential.
Regular shift is every Friday 4.45pm – 11pm, Sleep In and Saturday 8am-10.30am. The successful applicant will also be needed to cover holiday and sickness.
£13.80 per waking hour and sleep in allowance of £103.32 per night. Therefore gross pay £224.07 per week plus overtime

Duties
· One to one befriending to encourage and assist in engaging of social and recreation pursuits, hobbies, interests, life skills and friendships – on occasions this could include spending time with friends/family and/or participating in group activities, walking dogs, etc.
· To train, assist and accompany in household tasks, e.g laundry, ironing, cooking, house cleaning, gardening, shopping, etc.
· To transport and accompany on voluntary pursuits and appointments, outings, activities, shopping trips, etc
· Remind of personal hygiene needs as appropriate (but no personal care required).
· To dispense, supervise and record the taking of relevant medication at appointed times.
· To take all possible measures to ensure her health, safety and well being.
· To follow written policy and procedures
· To give a written general outline to other staff of the activities undertaken.
· To account for all expenditure.
· To assist with opening of mail and taking appropriate action regarding bills, etc.
· Any other reasonable activities and duties as agreed between employer and employee
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, or home care environments is an advantage
- Previous medication administration, behaviour management, and first aid certification are an advantage
- Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential
- Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude are essential for building a trusting relationship
- Flexibility to work relief hours in addition to regular shift, to cover for annual leave and sickness including mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins as needed
- A recognised qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care) is beneficial but not mandatory
Pay: £13.80 per hour
