Job Title: Fire Door Installer / Carpenter
Job Description:We are a specialist company delivering high-quality fire door installation, remedial works, carpentry, and locksmith services across residential and commercial projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit skilled and reliable operatives to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire doors, as well as carrying out general carpentry tasks and locksmith work where required. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety compliance, attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and remedial works on fire doors in line with current regulations and standards
- Conducting inspections and identifying non-compliance issues
- Carrying out general carpentry works to a high standard
- Installing, repairing, and replacing locks and associated hardware
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Completing relevant documentation, reports, and certifications
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fire door installation and/or remedial works
- Background in carpentry and/or locksmith services
- Knowledge of current fire safety regulations and British Standards
- Ability to use initiative and work independently when required
- Strong ability to work well within a team environment
- Good communication skills when dealing with clients, colleagues, and site managers
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Relevant qualifications or certifications (preferred but not essential depending on experience)
- Full UK driving licence
