The Role
As a Senior Care Worker, you will support the delivery of high-quality care while providing guidance and leadership to the care team during each shift. You will work closely with the Home Manager and other team members to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
- Support residents with their daily living needs in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Lead and support Care Assistants throughout each shift.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home.
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and report any concerns appropriately.
- Complete care records and daily documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
- Promote a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities and maintain their independence wherever possible.
- Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of care.
- Support medication administration where trained and competent.
- Attend training sessions and continue your professional development.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in health or social care.
- Holds a relevant healthcare or social care qualification, or has equivalent practical experience.
- Is caring, reliable and compassionate.
- Has good communication and teamwork skills.
- Can work independently as well as part of a supportive team.
- Has a positive attitude and is committed to delivering excellent care.
- Is willing to learn and continue developing professionally.
