Role Purpose
The Manager Designate provides flexible management support across Innoflate locations. The role involves stepping into sites whenever additional leadership is required, including periods of staff absence, vacancies, increased demand or operational change.
The postholder will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and commercially successful operation of the assigned site. They will lead the team, maintain Innoflate’s operating standards and deliver an excellent experience for every customer.
This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, confidence and the ability to quickly understand the needs of different sites.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Management
- Take operational responsibility for an Innoflate site when required.
- Open and close the venue in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure the site is appropriately staffed and prepared for daily operations.
- Respond quickly and effectively to operational issues.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and equipment readiness.
- Complete site checks, management records and required reports.
- Provide clear handovers to the permanent site manager and senior management team.
Health and Safety
- Ensure all health and safety policies, risk assessments and operating procedures are followed.
- Complete opening, closing and routine safety checks.
- Confirm that team members are trained and competent in their assigned duties.
- Manage incidents, accidents and emergencies calmly and appropriately.
- Ensure incidents are recorded, reported and escalated in line with company procedures.
- Maintain a strong safety culture throughout the venue.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate and support employees during each shift.
- Allocate duties and ensure all operational areas are adequately covered.
- Provide coaching, feedback and on-the-job training.
- Manage attendance, conduct and performance issues appropriately.
- Support new team members and help maintain consistent standards across all locations.
- Create a positive, professional and inclusive working environment.
Customer Experience
- Ensure customers receive a friendly, safe and enjoyable Innoflate experience.
- Maintain a visible management presence within the venue.
- Respond professionally to customer questions, complaints and feedback.
- Resolve issues promptly, fairly and in line with company policy.
- Support the successful delivery of parties, group bookings and special events.
Commercial Performance
- Support the site in achieving its sales, labour and operational targets.
- Monitor staffing levels and deploy the team efficiently.
- Promote additional products, services and booking opportunities.
- Follow cash-handling, stock-control and financial procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Help reduce unnecessary costs, waste and stock loss.
Multi-Site Support
- Travel between Innoflate locations, sometimes at short notice.
- Adapt quickly to different teams, site layouts and operational requirements.
- Provide additional support during busy periods, management absences and new-site openings.
- Assist with implementing company initiatives and improving consistency across locations.
- Report recurring issues and recommend practical improvements to senior management.
Person SpecificationEssential
- Previous experience in a supervisory, duty management or management role.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to managing operations.
- Confidence making decisions and handling challenging situations.
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexibly across different sites, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to travel between Innoflate locations.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and customer wellbeing.
Desirable
- Experience within leisure, hospitality, attractions, retail or another customer-facing environment.
- Experience managing high-volume venues or large teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety, risk assessments and incident management.
- Experience with staff scheduling, cash handling and stock control.
- First-aid, food-hygiene or relevant health-and-safety qualifications.

Additional Requirements
This role involves regular travel and may require assignments at different Innoflate sites for varying periods. The post holder must be able to respond flexibly to the operational needs of the business. A full driving licence may be required, depending on site locations. Company brand car provided.
Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
