Love golf? Make it your day job.
Tony Valentine Golf is one of the UK's leading independent golf retailers. Our Corsham store is the busiest custom fitting and teaching superstore in the South West, with new drivers, tour vans, GCQuad fittings and kit landing before most people have seen it announced.
There is a good story in this shop every single day, and right now not enough of it makes it onto our channels. That is where you come in.
This is a split role. Half of your week is on the shop floor helping golfers find the right gear. The other half is behind the phone or camera, capturing what is going on around you and turning it into content people actually want to watch.
We are not looking for a film maker with a showreel. We need someone who can shoot something that looks good, cut it together, and turn up with ideas of their own rather than waiting to be told what to post. If you play regularly and you are already making content in some form, this will suit you.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers and helping them find the right clubs, clothing and accessories
- Filming and photographing in store, from new product arrivals to custom fittings to the day to day
- Editing that footage into finished posts, reels and stories for our channels
- Coming up with new content ideas and running with them
- Keeping up with the latest releases so both your advice and your content stay current
- Keeping the shop floor looking sharp and well stocked
- Handling sales, deliveries and stock replenishment
- Being a positive, reliable part of a small team
What you'll bring
- An eye for a shot. Confident with a phone or a camera and able to make things look good
- Basic editing skills. You can take raw footage and turn it into a finished post
- Ideas. The creativity and confidence to suggest something and try it
- A love of golf. You play regularly and you know the game
- A great attitude with customers and strong communication skills
- Retail experience helps, but we will train you on all of it
- Availability to work full time, including weekends and bank holidays
- Comfortable lifting and moving stock around the store
What we offer
- Competitive salary. Paid fairly for what you bring, with your experience taken into account
- Staff discount. Generous discount across our full range of clubs, clothing and accessories
- Full training. Product knowledge, fitting and the retail side of the job all taught from the ground up
- Creative freedom. Your ideas get made. This is not a role where you shoot someone else's shot list
- The latest kit. You will be handling new releases as they land, which makes for far better content
- Room to grow. Real progression as the store and our online presence keep growing
