About the Role
Holmwood Care Centre is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our 60-bed
care home. Working alongside the Maintenance Operative, you will ensure residents enjoy a safe,
comfortable and well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities
- General maintenance and minor repairs.
- Decorating, basic carpentry and plumbing repairs.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and health & safety checks.
- Grounds maintenance.
- Supporting contractors.
- Maintaining records.
- Responding to maintenance requests.
Essential Skills
- Good DIY and maintenance skills.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Positive and flexible approach.
Desirable
- Previous maintenance experience.
- Basic plumbing, decorating or carpentry experience.
- Knowledge of health & safety.
