Service Scheduler #INDP
Hours: Monday – Friday 9-5 – (10-6 on a rota basis once training provided)

About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Service Scheduler to join our busy operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating field-based service engineers across your designated geographical region. You’ll manage daily and future appointments, balance engineer workloads, plan efficient routes and ensure customer work is completed within agreed service levels.
This is a fast-paced role where attention to detail, communication and the ability to prioritise are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineers’ diaries, booking and rearranging appointments while maintaining an accurate order book.
- Schedule daily and future appointments based on engineer skills, location, workload and job priorities.
- Plan engineer routes to maximise productivity and support first-time fixes.
- Manage regional work in progress (WIP), following up faults, parts, servicing, held and quotation-required jobs.
- Plan preventative maintenance to help keep customers compliant and equipment operating safely.
- Monitor performance against targets, including jobs attended, jobs per man, SLA adherence and engineer productivity.
- Record and monitor engineer downtime and discuss performance with the Regional Operations Manager.
- Identify and escalate issues such as performance concerns, skill gaps and potential delays.
- Raise purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Build strong working relationships with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate and consistent records across company systems and databases.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE level education or equivalent, including Maths and English at grades A–C or equivalent.
Desirable
- Experience working with field-based engineers.
- Experience within the healthcare or medical equipment sector.
- Knowledge of patient lifting, moving, handling or bathing equipment.
- Experience working in a target-driven or operational environment.
