Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing stock, and supporting the overall operations of our warehouse. The position is suitable for individuals with a keen eye for detail and physical stamina.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and containers
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Managing inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels and locations
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely processing of goods
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
- Supporting general warehouse duties such as cleaning, organising, and maintaining a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, or warehouse operations.
- To be competent in the use of electronic scanning equipment for warehouse management where appropriate.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, packing.
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines diligently.
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
