Our team comprises many of the UK's most experienced cancer consultant doctors who are leading experts in their field, alongside a dedicated and talented multi-disciplinary team. The Team are here to support our patients through their personal cancer journey, providing a tailored care plan that looks after both their physical and emotional wellbeing.
The Role
The role is responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient running of reception and administrative services, ensuring patients and visitors receive a warm, professional and compassionate welcome. This includes managing patient check-in and check-out, answering and directing calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, coordinating clinic slots with consultants, nursing and diagnostic teams, and ensuring clinic lists, medical notes and patient records are accurate and up to date. The role will also support transcription, consultant audit requirements and maintain consultant practising privileges files.
The postholder will provide guidance, training and support to administrative colleagues, helping to promote consistent, high-quality service and a culture of accountability, collaboration and respect. They will respond to and resolve escalated patient or staff issues professionally, identify and report trends or areas for improvement to senior management, and assist with the teaching of administrative processes. Flexibility is required to provide cover during periods of annual leave, sickness and other operational requirements, while ensuring the reception environment remains calm, organised and patient-focused.

Annual Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

Annual leave of 25 days + bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 3 years' service)

Pension: You will be auto-enrolled from day 1 at 5% (with an employer contribution of 4%). You can also opt to increase your contribution to 6% to which the employer will also contribute 6%.
