Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food production
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, maintaining consistency and quality
- Develop innovative menus in line with current trends and customer preferences
- Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to optimise team performance
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to maximise profitability
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary or hospitality setting
- Extensive food production and cooking expertise, with a strong background in food preparation and presentation
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
