Job description
Humly is actively seeking an experienced Business and Economics Teacher to join a prestigious co-educational independent school where every member of the school team is valued. This is a long-term contract, based within a vibrant and forward-looking department, from September 2026. The role
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Economics and Business lessons across KS4 and KS5.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in line with departmental and school expectations.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the continued success of the department.
- Utilise current affairs, real-world business examples, and economic issues to bring learning to life.
The successful candidate will:
- Be friendly and Engaging
- Develop excellence within their teaching and inspire the students.
- Be able to deliver Business Studies and Economics at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Economics is offered in both the A-Level and International Baccalaureate programmes of study, which makes for a rewarding post-16 teaching experience.
- Be committed to promoting Economics as a subject across the whole school.
- Have flair and vision to develop new initiatives within the school.
- Be instrumental in maintaining a happy and safe environment whilst stretching students to their full potential.
