SEN Teaching Assistants – September Start-Orpington & Bromley | Full Time (Part Time Considered)

We're working with a fantastic specialist secondary school with sites in Orpington and Bromley who are looking to appoint a number of SEN Teaching Assistants for September.
We are recruiting for several positions and are keen to hear from both graduates looking to start a career in education and experienced Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
These are long-term opportunities with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates.
The Role
You'll be supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.
The role will involve:
- Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons
- Encouraging independence and promoting positive behaviour
- Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from you if you are:
- A graduate considering a career in teaching, educational psychology or speech and language therapy
- An experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
- Confident supporting secondary-aged students
- Calm, patient and resilient
- Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning
- A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, Autism or ADHD would be advantageous, but attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
Working Pattern
- September 2026 start
- Full-time opportunities available (Monday to Friday)
- Some part-time opportunities may also be available (minimum 3 full days per week)
- Long-term roles with the potential to become permanent
