The Role
We are recruiting Warehouse Operatives for both our day and night shifts. Both roles are central to keeping our operation running smoothly, ensuring vans are loaded correctly and on time, goods are handled carefully, and the warehouse is kept in an orderly and efficient state. We welcome applications from candidates interested in either or both shifts.
Shift Details
Day Shift:
- Start time: 7:00am – 9:00am (start time varies depending on daily workload)
- Finish time: 5:00pm
- Rate: £13.00 per hour
Night Shift:
- Start time: 3:00pm
- Finish time: 10:30pm
- Rate: £13.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Day Shift:
- Primary responsibility for receiving goods into the warehouse from incoming lorries
- Unloading lorries, scanning all items on arrival and sorting into the correct labelled areas
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Assisting with stock management and inventory checks
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment throughout the shift
Night Shift:
- Primary focus on picking routes and loading vans ready for the following day's deliveries
- Receiving goods into the warehouse, scanning items and ensuring they are sorted into the correct areas
- Unloading vehicles and organising goods into clearly labelled lines and bays
- Operating scanners and handheld devices accurately
- Ensuring the warehouse is left in an orderly and prepared state for the day team
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is essential, particularly in picking, loading, and unloading
- Comfortable using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems
- Good level of physical fitness — this is a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility around start times is required for day shift applicants
